Dr. Wanda Averhart is a General Pediatrician currently working at the Syracuse Community Health Center. She is also the wife of Dr. Ibe-Lamberts and mother of their daughter. Dr Averhart’s interests include health disparities and obesity, specifically look at infant/child feeding patterns, maternal stress and neurobiological changes in the brain as it relates to childhood obesity. Originally from Chicago, Illinois where she attended the University of Illinois for undergraduate training and medical school, she went on to Morehouse College of Medicine to study Community Pediatrics. Upon completion of residency she worked with the University of Florida and continued her interest in obesity.
